I've never heard of any meat sold at Publix not being graded and USDA inspected. Their meat is Choice grade.... Their bakeries vary in their selections based on the ethnic make-up of their customer base. Especially so in South Florida where you will find a lot of Latin specialties such as guava filled pastries and lots of Cuban bread. Here we do not have those pastries. In areas where they have large Jewish customer bases they will have more rye breads, egg twist rolls, etc. Yes, they do hire people with disabilities. They are extremely community conscious.

As everyone knows that lives in Florida, Publix saturates the neighborhoods. Three of the 4 store's within 5 minutes of us have full service butchercase with not only Choice but Prime Beef for those that want it. If an item rings up wrong at the register it's Free! Yes they do hire the disabled. The cheerfull young lady that bagged my groceries at the express lane was blind. Mike
