Post-Theatre w/ Mom

Hi, all,
Taking Mom to a Broadway matinee Saturday and looking for a nice place for a late lunch (preferably French or Italian) in the theatre district at a reasonable cost. Any ideas?

Last time I was there my mom and I ate at La Locanda dei Vini, which is at 737 Ninth Ave. (between 49th & 50th). Great italian food, nice atmosphere. I think dinner for the two of us (including a nice bottle of Chianti) was about $85, which for NYC is not ridiculous.
What show are you seeing?

Becco, on 46th between 8th & 9th, has a great all-you-can-eat pasta special for $21.95 that's very popular. Otherwise, if you are ordering off the menu, you might spend about $80 for two. Those are dinner prices, of course. If you eat before the show, you might spend considerably less.
Becco is one of several restaurants owned by Lidia Bastianich and her family. You may recognize here from her cooking show on PBS.

My favroite place for after matinee lunch is La Bonne Soupe, a little bistro on 55th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues.

Another bet is Meson Sevilla (www.mesonsevilla.com) -- an NYC restaurant combining both Italian and Spanish fare right in the heart of the Theater District on Restaurant Row (344 West 46th Street) off of Broadway. I haven't been there in a few years but remember it fondly as a restaurant offering quality, moderately-priced fare in a land of otherwise.
