Posts that don't belong on Roadfood

Edit (and I'm going to add a message on the thread to repeat this): I have realized that many of you haven't read the subject, and are therefore confused. I started this thread for the purpose of making fun of posts that don't belong on roadfood.com, but somehow end up here all too frequently. The following is an example of that:

If you really want the best barbecue in the country, go to the corner of Main and 6th Street and eat at the joint there. You will be very happy you did.

In my town there's a restaurant on Main between 5th and 6th and he makes his own pulled pork in a Blues Hog smoker.  Does a pretty good job, too.

My town doesn't have a Main Street, or a 6th Street either.

We have a 6th street, but no Main. And the towns I can think of near here that have a Main Street don't have a 6th.

It's the intersection of Mill and Granville streets that I find difficult to impossible at rush hour.

6Th and Main is easy to find in my town. Take the fork in the road, go about a country mile until you see Jim's old oak tree that blew over in the storm last year. If you don't see a sign on the corner saying 6th & Main turn around, your in the wrong town............

I went to the corner of 6th and Main, there was a tall grumpy Guy there complaining that the BBQ place was selling Smoothies and Cobb Salads. But when I tried to go in to order some, the place was closed. This seemed normal to a shorter more rotund grumpy gentleman standing around outside with a sign reading "WILL  BBQ  LUTEFISK"
I don't think I will visit Winslow, AZ again, thank you.

Tall grumpy guys are always a pain in the patoot, and especially the ones in Winslow. Here in the great white north we tend to tie those guys to fire hydrants on corners.

That's what you get for standing on a corner in Winslow Arizona---that girl in the flatbed Ford will always slow down to take a look at you!

It just happened that I was at a store named "Harvey Girls" yesterday. The La Posada looks great-----I didn't realize there were any Fred Harvey hotels still. Looks like a road trip to Winslow might be on the list!

You won't be disappointed. Allen Affeldt bought it a few years ago and has spent Millions on Remodeling it and bringing it back to its former glory.
When you go into it, you'll think you've been transported back to the 1930's.

Just for the purpose of clarifying (and I have added this to the opening message): I have realized that many of you haven't read the subject, and are therefore confused. I started this thread for the purpose of making fun of posts that don't belong on roadfood.com, but somehow end up here all too frequently. Allow me to give another example:

This is a really great conversation about brands of truffle oil. Truffle oil tastes good. If you want to have a new kitchen, please contact .

Crystal Clear. I think it's great of you to offer to get me a new kitchen, Bart. I will need plenty of pantry space for all my truffle oil but I'm sure you can do that. Thanks!
