Prince of Hamburgers R.I.P.

It's my sad duty to announce The Prince of Hamburgers on Lemmon Avenue in Dallas is no more. Established in 1927, they offered car hop service and homemade root beer. Here's a small blurb about the establishment: http://ronkahouna.tripod.com

What terrible news. Their root beer was really delicious. Sweet and creamy. It was a must stop on every trip to Dallas.

Yes, I don't think I ever had a meal there without a frosty mug of root beer. I heard they hadn't been paying their taxes and that the daughter of the founder that ran it was tired of the whole situation.

Dang! No more root beer, the burgers were better than average. Sad to see it go. Gues my trips to Big D will have to end up at the new Kincaid's or over to Snuffy's

VERY sorry to hear this news. I never got to try their chili. I'm embarrassed to admit that I only tried this place a couple of years ago. Maynerd was the first guy to recommend it to me, and signman was instrumental in nudging me there. I'll REALLY MISS the root beer. Wonderful stuff.
