Ok, how can you tell an English Hot Dog Stand? First off, its illegal carts on the streets. Other criteria is you have to be from Kosovo or Turkey to operate a stand. It includes dirty labcoat and obliagtory hanging "cigarette" (flavouring purposes I believe). Hotdogs or frankfurters come in cans (although changing gradually and begrudgely)and served mainly to children (something to do with the war). Anyways, its a whole different ballgame here. The average selling price for an English Sausage with stewed onions on long roll with cheapest tomato sauce and mustard is £2.50 or $5 bucks. Just wanted you to know how the over half lives. I had an argument with a hotdog vendor here when I questioned him about where they came from and what they were; Answer: Yankee Stadium! Excellent.

A new friend of mine, who is a street vendor said just a few days ago -----> Regarding cigarettes hanging from lips as Hot-dogs are being dressed for customers.

" It's the little touches that mean so much in this business"

    Just to funny !!!!

      Rascal,

Other culinary choices in the United Kingdom include (hope you're sitting down)......Toad in the Hole, Spotted Dick, Treacle, Marmite-a yeast extract! (Heck, I thought it was tick of some sort), Bubble & Sweak.......the list goes on and on..........Great cheeses though.
