This is exactly why in my city (at least)... though I don't know about the rest of the State of Massachusetts... any and all street vendors (dogs, ice cream, lemonade, whatever) have to pass the CORI check through the Police Dept before taking further steps to get the business license.
I don't have a problem submitting to it at all, and as a parent of 4 kids, I would hope that many more... if not all... communities would preview a vendor's past before they have direct access to any children.
