Quirks and Silly Paranoid Things. Wed, 11/2/11 2:25 PM (permalink)
Spiders!  Even if they are dead, I don't like them.

I do't like stopping my car under a bridge or tunnel... since the Northridge Eathquake

I make sure I'm not holding my keys when going in or out of an elevator.  (They'll fall in that little space under the door!)

I always touch the outside of a jet before boarding

Been out of the Navy for almost 20 years, as long as I was in. On the day the ship would get underway to go on a deployment I would shave my mustashe and my head.

    Now no real ones.

I refuse to say the name of Shakespeare's Scottish tragedy in a theatre. Or, apparently, ever...as I'm sitting in my own living room and won't even type it.

In my playing days I would never step on the chalk on the 1st or 3rd-base line on my way to or from the field, but that's a pretty widely-held baseball tradition/superstition.

I firmly believe that the sports teams I follow will do better if I don't watch or listen to the broadcast until the game's safely in hand.  The only reason the Packers beat the Bears in the NFC championship game this year was because I went against my better judgment and watched most of it.

            Brad, that does work.

In 1975 I purchased an umbrella in New York to take back home to California.

California went in to an immediate drought that lasted longer than the umbrella.

I do open umbrellas indoors, or just in the door.

I arrange all the cans in the pantry in straight lines with all the labels facing forward so I can read them.

I fold my money with the bigger bills on the inside to the ones on the outside. The numbers on the bills all face the same direction with front and back of the bills in order.

That's not quirky, it just makes good sense.

I feel the same way Brad!! If I take a nap at halftime, when the Packers are playing and losing, they win. It has worked since 1996.

I only watched the University of Minnesota's second half against USC and they pounded them though they still lost. I quit watching them while on the road and they get pummeled by just about everyone. I get home and watch them against Iowa and they pull an upset. Maybe they can't play unless I watch them.

It makes no difference whether I watch the Vikings or not.

Playing the lottery with our 6 birthdays.  I have to get the numbers every week.  Imagine if the numbers were picked & I forgot to get my lottery ticket!

I did drop my keys through one of those spaces in the elevator next to the door, and it was very embarassing.  It happened at work where everyone knew me, but at the same time, were amazed at the odds of it happening.

If I can help it, I don't walk over any kind of grated surface, for the fear of them collapsing.
