If I see you swiping any sugar packets, butter pats, napkins, etc...  I have Kenny Shopsin on speed dial and I'm not afraid to use it.  Okay, I am!!!

I am really bummed that I cannot attend.

I trust that you will all manage to troop along without me.

Not only will we troop along, we'll probably find every place open.

Ooh, sick burn!!  I plan to make a detour to Shopsin's and take pictures with the flash so that I can get chewed out!  It'll be like you're right there with us!  TTM, in all honesty, you will be missed.  I may have a couple more mini tours up my sleeve if you're passing through town in the next few months...

I will, of course, keep you posted as to any possible trips to the NY area.  If I had a crystal ball, I would think that February could be realistic, but I haven't really made any holiday plans yet, either.

Tony, there is a Roadfood friend who could regale you with tales of hopping off an airplane last weekend and making a beeline to a place that was rumored to have the best burger in town.  I even called ahead to see what the hours would be.  It would probably be no surprise to find out that when we arrived, the parking lot of the place looked like Citi Field in mid-October.

Hilarity ensued.

So, is it still 10AM at Murray's Bagels?

Weather is supposed to be pretty good.

WJ, All the people in the Carnegie deli in Las Vegas are from NYC, I guess you have to fly 2000 miles to find a New Yorker in a Deli.......

@Tony, yessiree 10am at Murray's is the place to be!  Just be sure to go to the Murray's on 6th Avenue at 13th Street (they have a few locations).

@Dale, no food pictures from Carnegie!  I vow only take snap shots of fanny packers, families sporting I LOVE NY t-shirts in tandem and charter bus tours, just for you!

My friends in NY tell me the only time they end up going to a Jewish Deli is when I'm in town.... However I really don't think they regret it when we go...

I'll settle for at least one photo of their cheesecake!

WJ, I talked to the Chef a few times while I was there, I ask how many Kosher items were on the menu, his answer was two, one of the two was the Salami...........My little girl asked for a piece of cheesecake, we got it to go with three forks, $9 a slice................
