One last update before we "Nosh it out" on Saturday. Here is the list of attendees so far:

If I've forgotten anyone or others want to join in just let me know. Half of the places are cash only and the other half have minimums for credit cards, so the moral of the story here is...BRING CASH!! :)
The forecast is calling for sunny skies and a high of 70 degrees with a light breeze of about 5mph and no rain predicted. Comfortable walking shoes and bottled water are recommended for maximum comfort.
Public restrooms are located in most nearby Starbucks franchises should you need them.
We'll start cruising the not-so-mean streets of the city at Murray's Bagels at 500 6th Avenue at 13th Street at 10:00am.
Some of the people on the list are just meeting us for lunch at Carnegie Deli, so part of the plan is to get there at 12 noon to join them. UPDATE 03/19/10 - If anyone reading this wants to join us at the Carnegie Deli, please let me know so that I may get a head count in case I need to make a reservation. I called them already and I fudged a bit saying we had 15 when it's really closer to 10 people. They don't have a table to reserve at 12 noon tomorrow, but they advised me to call 30 minutes before we get there and they may be able to set something aside if it isn't too busy. I tried to pick places that:
A.) have classic/iconic NYC foods,
B.) that I personally like (with the exception of Carnegie as I have never been there),
C.) are such that you could go there and get just one thing or a sample and not feel the pressure to eat a whole meal. I figure that concept would make it easier to make more stops. In half of these places you can buy foods to go (bagels, donuts, dumplings). Bring a bag of some sort if you want to take provisions home with you. We can share at Carnegie if people are cool with that.
With the exception of Carnegie Deli, the stops on this tour are fairly small in size
(Gem Spa actually does not have any seating as it is a bodega that happens to sell egg creams), so we may have to jockey/be assertive for table space. I'll whip you all into walking, talking, cursing, acting, eating, breathing (okay, maybe not breathing. I mean, really, who WANTS to breathe NYC air? Seriously.) city dwellers before you know it! Just wanted to let you all know.
