R.I.P. Andy Rooney

My goal every Sunday was to be settled in in time for A Few Minutes with Andy Rooney.

Wow, this could be a Rooney segment, people who work too many years and die within weeks of retirement. Although in his case, there wasn't much work involved with his job.

He probably knew.  Too many people die right after retiring.

    Sad.

I loved his segments, simplistic but hilarously  brilliant.
I'd buy a CD of "The Best of Andy Rooney"

I was really shocked as he just retired. He loved what he did, and just said goodbye...

Our newspaper today said he went into the hospital with an unnamed illness and never recovered.  I have a feeling that he planned the end of his life, knowing he had only a short time to live, and worked up until the very last.  If only we all could do as well.  He was a great man, and will be remembered.

I always liked his perspective on the various things he brought up.  I'll certainly miss him.
