Shouldn't be a problem I would think.......people do it all the time as a topping for Shepherd's Pie. I guess maybe it's the quantity you might need that would make the difference.

A little butter, 1/2 & 1/2, saucepan on low heat, once they start to heat stir till hot...you won't know the difference!

I though mashed potatoes were mush to begin with? Ive never ever noticed much difference between fresh and reheated no matter how they have been reheated..???...
