If you live(visit) Rochester, NY I highly recommend that you try the fairly new restaurant called Max. It is located downtown. THe managers name is Jason and the owner/chef is Tony. I have eaten mussels all over the world, and the ones I had last weekend were the best I have ever had. They come from an area around Prince Edward Island, Canada. The wine list is also fairly priced. Anyone on this Forum live in Rochester? Italiano **My first post. I found this site off a thread from Vinocellar.com Forums.

We recently took the ferry from Rochester to Toronto -- we didn't have time to try the Garbage Plate restaurant, but we did have time to sneak into an Italian bakery that made out of this world donuts. Price was roughly 60 cents per donut -- one of the best bargains I have had all summer. Alas, I cannot remember the name of the place ... but it is located on one of the main streets in downtown Rochester, as you approach the ferry terminal. Highly recommend going there.
