Retractable cords

My iron and my toaster have retractable cords. Why don't they do this on other appliances, or do they? I would love to get rid of all the cords on my counter (mixer, blender, food processor). Anyone have appliances with retractable cords?

I've seen mixers, and food processors with retractables a long time ago on HSN Home Shopping Network

My appliance cords (except for a few vacuums) don't have retractable cords, but they do have compartments in which to poke the length of cord not being used.

Retractable is nice but I'd prefer interchangeable detached cords. Brad

Now that is a great idea. It would solve the problem of cords all over the counter. I wonder if you would have to have appliances of all the same brand? A universal cord would be great!
