Retro's in Williamsburg VA

While visiting Colonial Williamsburg in June with the family, we ate in a little place called Retro's a bit off the path (on Prince George Street) in Merchant Square. They bill themselves as having the best hot dogs in town, but we had some pretty good barbeque, with a sweet tomato-based sauce, fresh limeade, hand cut french fries and blue cheese cole slaw -- mmm! They have an extensive hot dog menu -- including veggie(no burgers), chicken sandwiches, steak sandwiches and frozen custard, milkshakes and floats. A nice representation of old standby favorites in a college town, diner-esque setting. Worth stopping by if your in the area -- menu at www.retrosgoodeats.com

And they serve their all beef dogs on Martin's potato rolls! And they have custard! Terry ate there last week, said it was great and I can't wait to go and try it myself. Cathy
