Laughed my self silly.
This reminds me of a few dogs I have had.
We had a doig when I was a kid, that would sit there and talk to you, loudly. If you talked to the dog, and took a breath, the dog thought it was his turn to talk and he "talked" loudly.
It embarrassed my Mom so much once when she said on the phone one day ... "I'm sorry, I can't hear you, the dog is talking to me."
The next day Mom and Dad ordered an extension phone for their bedroom so she could close the door when she was on the phone.
