Stephen, I have visited the Clam shack before. It is super and I am truly sorry that i will be unable to make the long trek to Boston. sounds like a lot of fun and good eating.

AWWWWW! You are breaking my heart and palate. Nick's was 2 miles from my restaurant in Hamilton, Black Cow Tap and Grill, Clam Box in Ipswich just down the road the other way and Woodman's about 6 miles away. I used to live ON Revere Beach and could walk to Kelly's. I've been to all of them many, many times. So I know y'all are going to have a fabulous tour. Sorry I can't go!

I'll be doing my own combo of many of those places, look forward to the wrap up. But a recommendation about Kelly's; the clams haven't been so great the last two times I've gone. Overcooked and tough. And the cheeseburger wasn't so great either, a flatter than flat patty that wasn't nearly as good as the one a seagull stole years ago. Maybe stick with the roast beef sandwich there, or I hear the lobster roll is still good (but $$$).

Is there a thread somewhere regarding carpooling arrangements for getting up to Cape Ann?

There is Train/bus service to Woodmans. It takes about 1 hour from Boston. If you need further info feel free to email me. Chow Jim

                  Thanks, Jim.

I guess I should have noted that I'm in NYC. Subway to train to Boston to train to bus sounds like just a bit much, even for clams.

I haven't seen much chatter about this, and it's fast approaching. We are probably going to do WJ's priceline suggestion, and I'm curious if anyone has had any luck, hints advice etc. Where is everyone staying? Thanks for any info. Sue
