On my upcoming trip to Las Vegas I plan to stop by Rubio's. The grill has way more than just fish tacos. All the stuff looks REAL good at their web site. Let's see if I can make this link work... www.rubios.com Has anyone been there and done this? Joe Well, can't get the link to work from my PC, shoot! I tried the http;// thing also. Help anyone.

I like Rubios. I always get their Fish Taco Especial. Pretty tasty for fast food. Maybe this link works. Rubios

I've been to the local Rubios a couple of times over the years... nothing special. I'm not drawn back to them like I am to the local holes-in-the-wall Mexican owned joints. Joe, your link didn't work because you spelled rubios with an apostrophe.

I've been to Rubio's in San Diego, Orange County and in Vegas. I love the fish tacos... and the fresh salsa bar adds a bit extra over other places for me.

Capt, I changed the spelling and it still didn't work. Oh well... at least HotDog's link works. ChiTown, yep... everything looks good at the web site. I want to try the fried shrimp, steak, and chicken tacos... as well as the Especial fish ones. Jim, the salsa bar sounds good to me. I will try some of everything there. Were the original Rubio's Fish tacos beer battered? Bill??? Why what? Why did stardust float down from space, and land on this cooled off molten ball of rock? Was it in a ball of ice when it came??? I wonder why also. :~) Joe

Why would you go to LV and "waste" a meal at Rubio's? Jeez, am I turning into WJ? :)

Hey Papa Joe, I'm a sucker for a good salsa bar also. Have a margarita for me FYI, Caesar's had a Mexican place in with their Forum Shops. Great salsa bar, as fresh as can be. And not that expensive, well at least by Vegas standards. If I remember correctly you could get a table by the door and watch the statues do their show.

Maybe you'll have better luck than I did at the Rubio's on Beach Avenue in Huntington Beach, Orange County, California: Stale corn tortilla, cool and soggy fish filet.

I've seen them on about five food shows, and I recalled Rubio's being mentioned here, so I had high hopes, and it was just down the block from my hotel. Evidently the thing to do is to go to the one in San Diego!

Bill, because I have heard sooo much about Rubio's and there are none here in north Texas. Don, like I know you know almost all chains... you take your chances. I have heard no bad reports on the Vegas Rubio's locations. I will eat my food there so... if it's like yours was... they will hear about it! Joe, lotsa neat little eating places in the Ceaser's mall. I will keep an eye out for the place you mentioned. i like watchin those statues... and the folks who are watchin them. Ohhh, I will be sure to ask at Rubio's if they have ketchup... any bets??? :~) Joe

With the rise of the Rubio's Fish Taco popularity, we now have to compromise our family's FF favorite when we visit SoCal. I want to go directly from the ONT rental car pickup to Farmer Boys, While Janet votes for a Rubios almost as close to the Airport as FB's !!! Interesting study in family authority and decision-making !

My experiences at other Rubio's, especially the ones out of San Diego have been less than satisfying.

BB The dogs spend their vacation at "Happy Tails Pet Resort" here in Hoosierland when we fly west. The rate is $20 per day per dog. That's why we take them with us so often when we travel by truck! Besides their accomdations at "Happy Tails" are quite nice, with the pool and 'doggie-spa' and gourmet foods. When we bring them home they tend to look down their long noses at what the home accomodations and menu offers.

I never made it to the Fresh Market Grill in LV. :~( I had even talked one of my "picky eater friends into going w/ me". I am dying to try their shrimp taco. I think they have it fried or grilled... or was that the fish tacos? Anyway, it's all at the web site link above... Dog's that is... cause it works. A question, are all the Rubio's now Rubio's Fresh Mexican Grill? Joe I said "market" grill by mistake but corrected it above. But I accadently market my own post as "helpfull". not sure how to fix that?
