SKYLINE CHILI Theft (Again) !!

 
  For the second time, one of the Skyline Chili Stores in Louisville has reported that their large display balloon that had been tethered in front of the store , has been stolen (for the second time).  The 20 foot wide inflatable Chili-Dog disappeared during the night last night, shortly after violent thunderstorms passed thru the area. The tie-downs holding the Balloon in place had been cut with a sharp object, according to the Police report.  The Balloon is valued at $10,000. Skyline Chili is offering a $100 reward for a no-questions asked return of the inflatable.  In a previous incident, local High School students  took the Balloon and tethered it on a teachers lawn not far from the Chili-Shop. 
  The media has had a great time spreading the word about the missing Chili-Dog.

Damn! No wonder that coney was  so filling.

I suspect buffetbuster and Carolina Bob have commandeered the balloon and are wafting their way across the country, descending on Roadfood stops from above.  

I'll Bet it was the AncientMariner's way of getting his mind off his team's bitter defeat in the World Cup!

Several Days later and still no sign of the Balloon.  When it does surface, I will do my best to bring out "the rest of the story".
