I have to agree with Sundancer on this one. I hate sad movies. I want to be entertained and I want to laugh, not cry.

    Pay it Forward

And I'll second Melanies' death in GWTW, especially Rhett Butlers speech about her being the only "trully good woman he ever knew.".

      Crying is therapeutic, sweetheart.

However, I do love a good entertaining movie. One of my favorites is that old 70's classic, Lisa Does Anchorage.

You might as well laugh as cry,but I do agree with Bushie.A good cry is theraputic and a great stess reliever every once in a while...

"She was the only completely kind person I ever knew. A great lady. A very great lady."

And Mammy's speech to Melanie just a bit earlier, after the death of Bonnie Blue. "And Mist' Rhett, he say, 'If you put that po' chile in the ground what's 'fraid of the dark, I kills yuh tomorrow.'"

I can't believe I forgot about The Elephant Man. While the "I'm a human being!" scene gets mentioned a lot, there's another scene in the movie that's even more affecting to me.

It's when the famous actress comes to meet The Elephant Man. They discuss theatre and Shakespeare and she says, "Why Mr. Merrick, you're Romeo."

              Waterworks, I'm telling you.

                Benji.
I just thought of this because my first dog , taffy louise, the cocker spaniel recently passed on 6/01/1990-6/15/2005, and beauregard potapher the dachsund 10/20/1990-2/2006 right before my stroke so I don't remember the exact day. Any WWII film right now because my dad was found, after blood work, to have certain values that required a transfusion. In hospital the doctor discovered a growth on the liver after imaging they also found thoracic aneurisms. they said he was too weak for a biopsy. They suspect it's cancer and has metastasized, how they know that without a biopsy I don't know. But, well... you get the idea.
