Sales pitches?!

ok--first we get marcela trying to to get us to make her rich in the seafood import business---now speiusa is pitching his concession carts here too? actually i may be in the market for a concession cart but Roadfood.com is NOT the place we should be doing our business! Maybe we need to let folks know on the home page that this is NOT source of free advertising!---or better yet on the registration form you have to fill in to get to participate here.

    Tiki,
It is in the rules, but I think few bother to read them when thy register...especially if they have only one reason to sign-up...to post an ad.
I deleted the one posted yesterday.

Besides the two you mentioned, remember the guy who was opening up a bar-be-que several months ago and tried to review it on here himself?
I have a thought.....Why not have a specially marked advertising forum for all of this type of people and CHARGE THEM for their postings (after all, these would be ads) They could have their Ad Post appear for a month for X amount of dollars and renew it for as long as they kept paying. I think the revenue would probably be welcomed by the Stearns, and if it amounted to any great amount, some of the extra could be used to add extra touches to the site. The rest of us would know for sure it was an ad, and could check it out or not as we wished. What do you think?

I don't mind the self promoting posters, as long as they have a website to go along with it. I can learn something new from them. It is really no different from posters who post websites for places they have come across. And if thoose places have menus, so much the better, as I doubt that I will ever partake of the vast majority of the places I read about.

That way I get to enjoy the food vicariously throughother peoples experiences.

I would rather keep it pure than have ad posts. I think they are so far and few between that we can just deal with them and realize that with a large community such as this, you are going to find things like that now and then.

    Hello, Mary Lou.

If you can help me out with liposuction, a wig, and some spackling compound for my wrinkles, I myself will be the perfect Mother's Day gift!

Fat chance: I just retired. Why do you think I'm getting all gussied up?

My wife still works, so I can go about the business of being a dirty old man.

Mary Kay drives a pink cadillac. I imagine Mary Lou might drive a pink Buick or something like it.

In any event, I wanted to take this oppoturnity to let you know of my fledgling meat business. I sell fresh meat out of a cooler in my trunk. i consider myself to be a mobile meat purveyor and will soon be traveling to a town near you. I amy actually expland my business soon and buy a concession cart.

I wouldn't mind seeing an ad forum, even a free one.
