Salmon Salad Sandwich?

Anyone ever seen or had one? I haven't but with Star Kist's new Salmon in a pouch, which I like, I'm thinking the salmon, some Hellmans, a little red onion and capers, on some arugula, on a nice brioche roll might just do the trick! what think ye?

At the risk of getting blasted, what's salmon in a pouch? Is that anything like pompano in a bag?

It's just like the Tuna in a pouch, former topic, which, I believe you went out and finally found, same thing except Salmon, on same shelf as Tuna in a pouch, Star Kist, A definite cut above the canned, Tuna or Salmon, it ain't cheap!

Chesapeake Lobsters are quite rare, but hey, Lobsters live in water, the Chesapeake got a bunch of that, so...they gotta be there, no?

Hey, PNWCHEF, don't forget the great blue claws from the Sound. As to lobster rolls, they wouldn't klnow how to make them in Maryland even if they could get someone to show them how to find the meat. The thing about people in Maryland is, you have to remind them that you don't eat the red part on the outside.

The area I lived in on the East coast wasn't a Salmon kind of area. I don't think I even had a piece of Salmon until I hit Wa, State.

Michael, we ate Soft shell crabs, don't remember eating Blue Claw. The only thing I remember eating was King Crab, and Lobster........

PNWCHEF, the soft shells are blue claws without their shells. You never caught crabs in the Sound?

Oh, yeah. Steamed, boiledm crab cakes. Great! The folks in Maryland can't stand the thought, but they're the same crabs they think belong only to them.

Nah, the crabs he's talking about were chased out of the Chesapeake by the Crab Police for being too lightweight and obviously tasteless, Yeah PNWCHEF, Rod and Reel is a great way to catch MARYLAND crabs, Fly Rod even better!!

Listen CTF, those crabs latch onto pieces of cloth dipped into the water where they;re hanging out. One they grab the strip of cloth they're hooked and can't get unhooked, and you just lift 'em out and stick 'em in your bucket. Heck , my 3 year old granddaughter was catching in the Connecticut River while we were fishing for snapper blues.

Now that was a feast. Crabs, snappers, steamers and mussels.

I was watching Avec Eric yesterday, they were harvesting and cooking soft shells, The interesting part was watching the crabs molt at the processor, then pluck them out of the tank and eat!
