We're going in May and will have a car.  Any good seafood places?

If you're a Randy Wayne White fan you should go eat at Doc Ford's Sanibel Rum Bar.  Actually even if you haven't read any of his books, you should check it out.

Everyone talks about the Bubble Room down the road in Captiva but it gets really crowded.  At the very least you need to go get a piece or two of cake to go.  the orange crunch cake is phenomenal and will feed one person for about a week.

Is Jimmy's Nook still there?  I have a Key Lime Pie recipe they gave me sometime in the early 80's.

Don't know the actual corp. structure, but Randy White is at least a partial owner.

Thanks.  I've read a bunch of his novels, and have a copy of his cookbook.

It's not Sanibel, but if you find yourselves in Naples give this place a try.  It is a small storefront place but has good seafood and more than just group and chips.
