Have you ever left distinctive snacks for Santa?

One year we left cheese & crackers....

When I was little (oh,so long ago!) Santa preferred fruitcake and coffee. It was a long time before I realized that my Dad also loved fruitcake and coffee.

My father always said Santa liked a "Don Q" rum & Coke, but he would never let me fix "Santa" one... (We lived in Puerto Rico at the time.)

I think Santa would like bagels and cream cheese but he never stops at my house.

            Hello All,
My mom always make special christmas cookies that we would leave with Dr. Pepper.
I tried to convince my kids when they were young that Santa liked cheese and crackers,
with a zesty mustard over the cheese, and Dr. Pepper.
Now, Santa likes a white russian.
            Take Care,
            Fieldthistle

Yup, cookies and milk. And carrots for the reindeer.

Right on the ball but must also remember to leave a big red apple for Rudolph. Didn't you know that the apples keep his nose shiny and red?

Funny, I was just remembering that part of my tip-off on the real identity of Santa was being told that he preferred the really awful cheap cookies from the convenience store that my Father bought and no-one else would eat.

This topic reminds me of a story a few years ago when my (very bright) nephew was 5 years old.

He figures out the "cookies & milk" thing and said to my sister: "Mom, tell me the truth. I think Santa Claus isn't real, its just a nice idea you tell us to help us feel good!". My sister decided to come clean and said that was true. Then he said: "Mom, same about the Easter Bunny, too, huh?" . So she said yes again. Then he said: "Same about God, too, huh?" Well she didn't know what to say then.

Hope that didn't offend anyone.....just a "Christmas Story" I remember. (PS. My nephew grew up to go to law school and become a labor organizer!!)
