With regard to the "review" of Schmucker's, I must take issue with this sentence: "Despite its age (Schmucker's opened in 1948) it is clean and well-maintained."

I'm a little older than Schmucker's and, as with many people of equal age, I am clean and well-maintained, as are countless retsaurants across this continent, not to mention the rest of the world, and angry with the idea that anyone could be fool enough to suggest that such a thing is unusual enough to merit a comment.

    Way to go Michael !!!!!.

If they, and we, weren't clean and well maintained we would not have
gotten this far.  Being 62 is no big deal.

Back in my Acme Market days, we had signs hanging all over our old stores.

"Newness or oldness are not a factor in cleanliness.  Cleanliness is an attitude built on high standards", or something like that.

Goodness gratious  Mr Rogo you have a marvelous memory.  To remember back over all those years to that store motto is amazing.  Cleanlyness is next to Godlyness so they say.

Just recently Mary and I went into a store here in St pete that smelled bad--musty and unclean.  I expected to see varmints scampering around----we turned and walked out.  No excuse for that---if you want to stay in business you had better be clean.

Hey is it getting cold up in Pa---it was down to 82 today here----I'm chilled to the bone.
