Scott's Barbecue (Goldsboro)

According to this post that appeared in a barbecue forum I frequent, Scott's Barbecue in Goldsboro NC has closed. The hope is that it's temporary and that the restaurant will be able to reopen before long.

I seem to recall hearing that the restaurant had closed several years ago and, since then, they were just in the sauce business.

You are right. It has been closed for a while.

   That's sad news, but I suspect that their sauce business overwhelmed their time.
   Hey, when you make the best, you deserve to be busy. Theirs is THE BEST vinegar-based sauce I've EVER found ; Shealy's in Batesburg/Leesville runs it a distant second, even as good as it is.
   If I ever make it to Goldsboro (and I just might: my friend Julie is brewing at Huske Hardware, a brewpub in nearby Fayetteville), I'll drive along North William Street and see if I can find the place. If it's open, I'll stop in and tell them about my and everyone else's posts about their sauce. -- Then I'll go eat at Wilber's (unless they're somehow cooking at Scott's... in such event, goldurn it, I'll just eat twice!).
   Now let me see if I can add a smiley face.
