Sears Fine Food has reopened under new management. Has anyone been to the new place yet?

No. It's probably San Francisco's best known breakfast spot. http://www.mistersf.com/farewell/index.html?fwsears.htm But when I eat breakfast, which is rare, it's in my own kitchen. This one's for you out-of-towners.

Walked by it this afternoon. It was open, it was busy, it looked good but I didn't eat there so I can't say how the food was.

We were very disappointed during our recent trip to SF (end of July) to find that Sears had not yet reopened...and for that matter, didn't much look like it was ready to reopen any time soon. I hope the new place lives up to the previous billing and I get the chance to make it there the next time I am out in the Bay area. Steve

Steve Bring some fried east coast seafood (oysters, shrimp, clams) with you when you come please--I'd take that over pancakes any day.

I ate there just two weeks ago. It was as good as ever. I had the Sweedish pancakes and my friend ordered Eggs Benedict, which had perhaps the creamiest Benedict sauce I've ever tasted!

I ate there last week. Jam packed--obviously business is good. I thought everything was delicious--I had the classic pancakes and sausage plate. Also, they have expanded their menu and hours, so it appears they are trying to expand out of being just a breakfast place.
