Has anyone ever had one of See's Awesome Peanut Brittle Bars before. I just picked up some when I was in San Francisco and it completely blew me away! Salty, crunchy and chocolatey. I need to get more! I think I love See's.

It sounded so good, I had to do a search to see what you were talking about, and it indeed looks extremely delicious! "Awesome" seems like an appropriate name for it. I wonder if I could find them anywhere in PA?

We buy a pound or two of See's chocolates once or twice a year when we're in California, and we just tried the peanut brittle on our most recent trip. Those bars are so good, I'd be willing to give up some of the other candies in place of those. Then again, ANY See's dark chocolate-covered nuts just slay me!

There was a special on the local PBS station here in LA and the president of the company said his grandchildren thought they were 'awesome' so they just went with that name.

I heard about Sees Candies several years ago when I was reading an article about Warren Buffett. He owns them. Knowing that Warren has an eye for great product, I had to try them. Finally had to have my sister in Colorado ship some down here to Georgia for me. The candy was wicked good - so good in fact I am half heartedly glad we can't get it here. I will try the Awesome Peanut Brittle Bar the next time I am in Colorado. Several of the Brittle Bars, I am sure. Along with all the other Sees Goodies I love. Hey, I am on vacation. Let me indulge.

I've been of the opinion for a while now that Sees makes the best peanut brittle anywhere.. pour chocolate on that and it's almost too much of a good thing... my hubby just brought me a pound box of their "nuts and chews" collection for our anniversary on Thursday... there are four Sees in my area... it's one of the few advantages to living in Fresno..

When I head to my local See's I have them pack a selection of my favorites for me. That way I get some of the delicious varieties that never seem to make it to the pre-packed boxes, like the lemon and orange creams, and a delicious one that's orange something or other coated in toasted coconut. I still have a gift certificate for a pound sitting on my counter. It's been there for over a year, and the only reason I've been able to resist is I received a pound for my birthday in July and 2 pounds at Christmas

I discovered See's candy when I was in San Diego in July. The peanut brittle bar is awesome, as was this butterscotch/chocolate bar that they do not seem to be making anymore. I requested a catalog upon returning home, and am planning to order a few pounds to give as Christmas gifts.

Thanks for that link enginecapt, I grew up with See's but did not think they were available in Mass. Unfortunately it's the "pre-packaged, limited selection" only, mostly just at Lord & Taylor, but still good to know! My favorite See's item - unlike anything I have ever seen/eaten anywhere else - is the hard chocolate "sucker". We call 'em "See's Suckers" but I don't know what they call them. They are a block of hard chocolate on a stick (used to come in caramel & coffee too). Thank goodness I have a Mom who happily supplies me with my See's fixes. Mmmmmmmmmm.

The really cool thing is that they are always giving free samples of something. You have to ask, if busy. (We have one in Medford)
