Selling snowballs to Ekimos Sat, 03/5/11 10:03 AM (permalink)
We considered changing our name from Tropical Breeze to Arctic Blast this weekend. Yesterday we where literally trying to sell snowballs to Eskimos.  After last weekend’s sunny weather and highs in the low 70’s this weekend the temp dropped to the low 40’s and the wind chill factor was in the thirties.
Most of the vendors spent yesterday trying to keep warm and keep their canopies from flying. They did lose a few. The event was cancelled for today due to rain and will try to resume tomorrow.

We had planned on having our Cuban sandwich this weekend but the press didn’t show up until late yesterday. We don’t think we will try making it on Sunday.

But it was good to get the trailer out and do a set up. Nice to make sure everything works and get the initial stock in the trailer. We had a temporary food permit inspection and received a 99. HD loved our trailer. Not much going on the rest of the month real season begins in April.

Slightly used ice shaver, free shipping to Alaska...
You would do better selling boiled peanuts in Alaska then snowball in a frigid Georgia. Man was is a cold windy weekend. I actually felt guilty sitting in my trailer with the heat on. Of course if your sitting in you trailer with your heat on then you are not selling shaved ice.
