Shickhouse Hot Dogs

Does anyone know where I can purchase Shickhouse franks? I cant even find a website! Any help is appreciated.

It is spelled Schickhaus, and it is possible that Wegman's still sells them.

They are made by armour-eckrich. I am a new member so admin wil not let me include a link. But if you find the armour-eckrich web site, you will see that Schickhaus is a brand that they own.

I have not seen these franks in Wegmans. Schickhaus was originally made in Kearny, N.J. The plant closed, but someone bought the name. The franks and other meats are made for them; sort of like a contract brewing agreement where a brand of beer is made at a brewery that is not owned by the people who own the brand.
 
Schickhaus was made in the past by Grote & Weigle, then Russer, then Grote & Weigle again, now Armour Eckrich. I never had one when they were made in Jersey, but the product has remained consistent despite who makes them. Much like Nathan's has. They don't have their own plant, but have the franks made for them. SMG Meats makes the skinless version and John Morrell makes the natural casing franks.

Schickhaus franks are made at Klement's factory in Wisconsin. I also found out that the Omaha Steak franks are made at the Dearborn plant in Michigan.
