I like it. Had no problems getting in and moving around. Suggestion: There is additional room in the "Most Recent Forum Topics" section on the home page. Why not use the space to add additional forum topics? Good job.

OK, now that I am logged on from home I see the comment at the top of the page that I am logged in (with nothing done on my part other than going to the site), and a "clicker" to log out. I guess my problem before was that I was on my work computer. Stephen, you may want to add a FAQ about how existing members can log in when using different computers, or after clearing cookies. I looked and there was nothing on how to do this on the new upgraded site.

Just noticed the "Knife/fork/spoon" up there in the url line that is a drag and drop to make a link to the page---is that new or have just been oblivious all this time! Its neat though---just used it too!

The "log-in proceedure is impossible. obscure, esoteric, secretly coded, and if it is not corected you can consider me gone from these pages. Cheers, John

I am still having problems here. I have gotten the message that my registration is activated, but I must put in my user name and password each time I post a reply, and I still am unable to edit a reply, though I see that tiki edited his on this topic. I find no comment about being logged in the way berndog does at home (and I am at home and have been the whole time, even before the upgrade). I see no knife/fork/spoon in the URL line that tiki sees. What am I doing wrong?????

I like the new look, but there's one problem that cropped up several weeks ago that I had hoped would be corrected. When one is writing a response and wants to change font attributes or add a smiley, the new attribute or smiley always appears at the end of the text. Prior to that one could highlight text or insert the cursor and the text's attribute would be changed or the smiley inserted at the cursor position. That was a whole lot easier than it is now!

Beautiful new look!! My SO Zman who has a whopping near 30 posts was logged on instantly. I, on the other hand had to put in my user name and password.......no big deal. Good job on upgrading the site!!

It was a pleasant surprise this Wednesday morning! I thought I had come to a different place at first! I didn't have any trouble logging in, but I probably never logged out in the first place! I too am looking forward to seeing some great photos and appreciate the effort of a new look!

I'm sure everyone here on Roadfood appreciates Mr Rushmore's Rumsfeldian smart A response to my legitimate complaints re the new format. 1. There is no "quick reply" space on my new improved screen. 2. I m required to go to a separate "response" screen where I am required to log in each and every time I want to post a message. 3. I cannot access a members list, nor can I access any members profiles. (when I hit the button for a member's profile, i get a message telling me I must log in to get that information, but thereis no place to log in that also allows me to access a member profile 4. My E-mail to Mr Rushmore has gone unanswered. If I have a problem with the new format because I operate an i-Mac, please let me know and I'll surely go out and purchase a Rushmore approved machine. If these problems are not corrected in a timely manner, I will take up Mr Rushmore's suggestion and reluctantly take leave of my many friends here at Roadfood. ANGRY AND FRUSTRATED, JOHN

Seafarer... I'm not sure what problems your having, but on my end of the world, everything works the same as it used to. Maybe clean out your cookies and log in again (and check the box to keep ya logged in)... And being our favorite Federal Felon, dont leave us! (Ya, we all heard about the illicit shipping of wine)..

Vic: Glad you are happy with the new set-up. A tiny minority - 30% of us do not like it- we are frustrated by it. THERE IS NO LOG IN SPOT ON MY SCREEN, except here on the "reply" screen, where I am required to log in each and every time I want to send a message. And, as to the new color scheme, I'm informed that those are the colors chosen by the military interrogators to break down the resistance of their Iraqui prisoners. Frustrated, John

Frustrated, John Seafarer: I wonder if it has something to do with your computer. My event was seamless. Perhaps I was just lucky as you stated that 30% of the posters were having problems. It looks a little different. I wish it was a little easier to post photos. I still have not got the hang of that but I generally send them to Bushie or "The Mayor" and they put them on for me. Incidentally, I do not claim any computer skills. Paul E. Smith Knoxville, TN

At first, it took me by surprise but it's a nice upgrade, and instead of signing out, just left things as usual (did that a few weeks ago, thankfully, I still remember my password just in case! ) Belated congratulations to Sundancer on 3,000 posts!

But thats a personal opinion... I'm just thankfull that the site is still here and going strong! So this roadfooder is laying low and going about business as usuall.

Ok, I must be stupid. Where is a link to LOG IN? Yesterday right after the upgrade I was showing as 'Logged In'. Today, nada. I have to type username/password with every reply. What am I missing? Thanks, Dan
