Smithville NJ Hot Dogs

Yesterday Ms OC and I went to the shopping village at Smithville.  Since it was National Hot Dog Day, we decided to have some Sabretts at the hot dog stand there.  We always enjoy the snap of their NY pushcart style dogs.
We found that the place had changed.  No more dirty water dogs.  They now use a roller grill.   When I bit into my chili dog I was very disappointed to find NO SNAP!!  They changed to skinless!  I got some pictures of the dogs anyway and yes that is ketchup on Ms OC's dog.  They tasted ok but we did miss that snap.

Roller grills are for gas stations, convenience stores, and movie theatres; not  true hot dog stands.

haven't been to Smithville in years, Apparently. at least the hot dogs aren't what they once were. We liked walking around the place and having dinner in the INN.

I agree.  I suppose they went to skinless because they work better on the rollers.
