Smoke Pit Bar-B-Que - Collinsville, IL Mon, 10/9/06 11:12 AM (permalink)
I had lunch at Smoke Pit Bar-B-Que Saturday.

The sides were great. The beans were smoky and flavorful. When I asked for chili as one of the sides, they asked, "green or red?" I liked the green a lot.

The meat was less impressive. I had the snoot and rib tips. This was the second time I have tried snoots in the St. Louis area, but I guess I am not going to acquire a taste for it. The rib tips were tough, with average flavor.

Kind of wish I had ordered only sides. The chili was so good, that I would like to try the red as well.

They also offer some Mexican dishes, and hamburgers.
