The Cincinnati Smokey Bones locations remain open for now.

Darden did close "Bahama Breeze" on the North side of town....I believe there was only one such location in greater Cincinnati

Olive Garden continues to operate with lines at out the door locally

Ate at Smokey just once. Once was enough. Quite bad. Then again, its quality was probably comparable to the other Darden lines.

I'll never understand the draw to Olive Garden. I tried it again about two years ago. It'll probably be another five before I forget how bad it really is.

Initially Smokey Bones was doing its cooking (bar-b-q) in house and I thought that they were doing an above average job for an over sized menu. Somewhere along the line Corporate decided to ship the bar-b-q in "cooked" to the restaurants and now here we are closing stores. Perhaps this should be a lesson to other franchise operations sending in precooked meat to their stores from a commissary.

Corporate BBQ is an oxymoron.

I like Indy, but I've never really tried BBQ there.

We're going to Indy in two weeks to check out the Triple-A baseball stadium. So where's a good place to go for BBQ?

The SB in Waco, Texas closed. The food was pretty good.

The one in Bowling Green, Ky. is still open. I went once. It was ok. I can't say I wouldn't go back, but I'm in no rush to do so.
