Snacks that should be brought back

Divefl, I miss those poptarts! And just like you said, they make all those new similar-sounding flavors but they're just not the same.

Do y'all remember ICE CUBES? If I had ICE CUBES and FUDGIES and the old King Dons, my sweet world would be perfect!

Ice Cubes are still around. I usually find them at convenience stores sold by the cube.

You can still find sky bars in candy stores. Not necessarily the ones in the mall.

So that's what those were? All this time people have been mentioning them, I thought it was an actual candy that tasted like 7-Up soda!

anyone have Nabisco Bacon Flavored Thins in their region? they come and go from Florida but it's been awhile and i'm afraid they're gone. i did used to see them on the west coast even when we didn't have them here. i'm hoping the same might be true of the Act II fries.. we get the rest of their line here, just not the fries, which i haven't seen anywhere in my travels.

i do remember 7-up bars, they were like Sky Bars, which had different kinds of creme filling in each nub.

oh and i noticed someone here mention Amish country, does anyone from that area see ValleyMaid potato chips anymore? i grew up in Philadelphia and visited recently for the first time since the 70's, craving a bag of ValleyMaid chips from the local deli (that was still there!), but all they had was Herr's now. which are great but not even close to ValleyMaid. the two used to be rivals and it looks like Herr's won out.

someone mentioned Regal Crown Sour Cherry? wow you guys really know the precious :) i used to get those at the shore when i was a kid, they had them at the check-out of this motel's coffee shop and i used to get them whenever we ate there, just thinking about them gives me flashbacks..

oh, if you really want a Regal Crown flashback, sip on some POM Cherry Pomegranate juice. it's expensive but tastes for all the world like the liquid version of those candies. *exact* same black-cherryish flavour that makes you wince just a lil when you taste it. try it and see if i'm wrong! but it'll make you crave Regal Crown's even worse :)

I still dream about Bonomo's (vanilla) Turkish Taffy. And, when I was a kid growing up in NYC during the 40's and 50's I remember a little chocolate chip cookie with a "swirl" top baked by Sunshine Baking Company in Long Island City. Anyone from the NYC area in their fifty's or sixty's remember those cookies?

If you google Cadbury Curly Wurly, it's a dead ringer for the old Marathon bar and many companies are importing them in from overseas.

I liked those Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles pies in the 90's. They were a green shelled pie and had a custard filling or something. I just remember they were tasty. I'm probably the only one that ate them lol

You can still buy drumstick ice cream cones in the Pittsburgh, PA area and Spree candy, and I think Wacky Wafers. There is a candy store called Baldinger's on Rt 19, about 30 miles north of the burgh, right before the intersection of 528 and Rt. 19. They have a huge variety of candy from the past.... boston baked beans, lemon heads, charms pops, clark bars, spree and sweet tarts, laffy taffy. If you are ever in the area, this is definitely a place you will want to go to. They do not have a website though.

I wish they would bring back:

Ice cream gum (sold in sticks)
Chum Gum (sold in sticks)
Big Daddy Gum (sold in rope like around 10" long, in all different kinds of flavors, my favorite was the green apple and grape)

My favorite snack was Corn Diggers (Nabisco)
If anyone who works at Nabisco is reading this, this is a snack I would just love to have back. I think they could become a popular snack again

I'm not sure if this was mentioned before, but you can still find Marathon candy bars. They come from the U.K. they are called Cury Wurly, they can be found @ Cost Plus or any british food store.

Strawberry Gum-came in a toothpaste like tube super sweet.

I'm surprised none of you female types alluded to the scene in 13 Going On 30 where Jenna and Matt (as adults) went to the store for a package of Razzles to split, like they did as kids, and both went absolutely bonkers when they actually found a store that carried Razzles. That's one of my personal best scenes from romantic movies, beaten only by the scene in Katz's Deli from When Harry Met Sally.

so was it ever decided whehter razzles was a candy or a gum? :)

Forever Yours Bar, A dark Milky way...I don't think Milkey way Dark is the same....and the Original Three Musketeers that broke into 3 sections.."The bar big enough to share with your friends!" originally it came with 3 flavors!! And of course, Cocoa Marsh Chocolate syrup...and its pump dispenser....
