wow lether, that's the first post on here that taught me something i didn't know.. i'm 45 yeqars old and never saw the 3 Musketeers variety you mentioned. and i started eating them at a pretty young age. also never heard of Cocoa Marsh.. was that chocolate marshmallow flavorued? on a related note, i miss the original variety pack of Carnation Instant Breakfast, with Chocolate Marshmallow as one of the flavours. my most missed of all time remains the Tastykake ButterKreme TandyYakes, though..

No..Cocoa Marsh was just another rival to Bosco or Hershsey's. See some of the Cocoa Marsh threads here at Roadfood. It was delicious syrup and I miss it. I'm not old enough at 62 to remember the three flavors in the three pieces of Three Musketeers, but I do remember the 3 divisions, but by my time, the flavors were all the same filling we're used to today, even if the bar was flatter and wider.

Just put the chocolate on a graham cracker and toast the marshmallow over a stove burner! Or, you can put three mini marshmallows on a cracker and mic them for 20 seconds or so. When you put the chocolate on and cover it with the other cracker, the chocolate will melt. That's all true, but the problem is: on my best day, I'll eat two smores. I don't need a bag of marshmallows minus one or two drying before I want another smore, so bring back the one~at~a~time kits. I think Russel Stovers has started making the kits or a preassembled smore

It's egg shaped with a cracker bottom, and the marshmallow is reminiscent of fluff (remember the Fluffernutter sandwich?). Not bad, but not as much fun as making your own, no matter how you do it, IMHO.

Taco-Bell branded Doritos, loved those, no longer available. My husband misses the "original" Mars Bar. I actually ordered some from England a couple of years ago (way expensive) in hopes it was the original, and it wasn't. Also miss the chewy cherry cough drops, can't remember the name, had a bunch of guys on the box cover.

What they should really bring back is Burry's Chocolate Chip Cookies. They were delicious.

They had an offer back in the summer of '81 for free Top 100 pop 45s if you mailed in 15 wrappers. Let's just say that I got a bunch of records from that deal! Now with the continued popularity of Twix bars, it's time for Summit's triumphant return. I still see Zero and Munch bars, Tahitian Treat, and Keebler Grasshoppers in stores, though. I'm sure their availibility varies from state to state, though... Chris

My favorite wax candy was the tongue. It was red and when it was fresh and soft it had the most lively and satisfying flavor and chewing consistency. They were hard to find in the 50s. They were better than the more common wax lips. You would think that the lips and the tongue would be made out of the same recipe, but I maintain the tongue was different and better.

Until the early '80s, Sara Lee made two products that I loved; the chocolate cake with chocolate butter cream frosting, and the frosted chocolate brownies. Both came in aluminum foil pans. Wish I knew why Sara pulled the plug on them; I still miss them both.

I would guess, and this doesn't even count as an educated guess, that the aluminum pans made packaging costs prohibitive.

I tried doing a search to see if I posted in this thread already, but I'm doing something wrong. Summit candy bars. We would always tape one to the top of a birthday present before we'd go to birthday parties. O'Boisies potato chips, both flavors Sharkleberry Fin, Great Bluedini, Raspberry, Blastin Berry-Cherry Punch Kool-Aid Cheeze Kurls http://www.taquitos.net/snacks.php?snack_code=3277 used to make a chicken flavored cheeze kurl. I am not making this up. They were in a blue bag with the CK logo & Walgreens had em back in the 90's. Delicious. Jumpin Jack Cheese Doritos, Chester's Cheese Doritos, and the Original Taco Doritos from the 70's. I don't care that they have them now. They do not taste the same. Gum: Cherry Cola, Raspberry, Paradise Punch, Orange, Blueberry, Paradise Punch, Pink Lemonade. Bubblicious, Hubba Bubba & Bubble Yum owned me & my allowance money in the 80's. Keebler Krunch Twists Tidbits Hi-C Hula Cooler & Candy Apple Cooler Oreo Big Stuff Bar None candy bars S'mores cereal (in the yellow box, not the stuff in the blue box they have now) Fruit Bars, made by the company that made Fruit Roll Ups. Tropical flavor. Cookies & Creme Twix Fanta Red Creme soda Choco Bliss Magic Middles cookies, they had a gooey fudge center Pudding Pockets, cupcakes you could make with a pudding center Bake A Bar granola bars Stir & Frost cakes

How could I forget Tangy Taffy? It came in this big chewy pink swath. We used to get them to share @ Great America. You had to peel the label off very carefully because it would stick.

God only knows why Summit Bars got canned?(wrapper joke) Loved 'em madly! Pepperidge Farm's Brownie Nut Cookies...rich n rather dry, and damn good! Speaking of brownies: Brownie's chocolate drink- Used to buy them in a can from a vending machine, ice cold...in a building, across the street (from my building)...for a quarter(summer of '77?)! Yup, those were the days!!! *sigh*

there was a Brownie here in South Florida in the 80's called Rachel's Brownies, also rich-but-somewhat-dry - moist but not sticky, a totally unique consistency, like crumbs all stuck together, no frosting but little nut pieces. totally addictive, used to get them at EZ-Kwik Kuntry Store in Coconut Grove. they also made blondies that were called Rachel's Husband's Brownies that had a mild butterscotch flavour, also excellent.

Hey, is there a black market for the trans-fat Dorito's, as of yet? @Susan28: You just earned your brownie points; now so rightfully feel free to pig-out on them...while hastily utilizing all four limbs!

Kraft Philadelphia Cheesecake Singles...especially the brownie swirl flavor. Kellogg's Cinnamon Bun Mini Swirls O'Boisies and Toststadas(?)...I'm not sure of the name, but they were a Keebler product with a buttery, cinnamon-sugar flavor that was ammmazing. Dairy Queen low-fat/fro-yo...thusly bringing back the Breeze...all the flavor, half the guilt!

Keebler Almond Sandie Cookies (they're using every other kind of nut, what happened to the almond ones!?!); Almond Cluster Bars; the complete line of Godiva Ice Creams (stupid disagreement between Canadian company and American company caused company that was producing these to be shut down); Sunshine Golden Raisin Bars AND the cranberry ones that were out a very brief time. Bet they would be a hit now; Cranicot (Cranberry-Apricot Juice) from Ocean Spray (not a snack technically, but loved the taste).
