Geez, didn't mean to start a brouhaha!!!!  Thanks for the tips, I'll pass them along to my friends.  Coming back to AZ first of April, but I think I'll be stuck in the Phoenix area for the week.  Anybody have recs for there?  Don't want to start any more unpleasantness.

No apology needed. These topics should be able to be discussed civilly, but sometimes that is not the case. Glad to have the discussion return to food...so thank you slotmansc!

There's worse places you could be stuck besides Phoenix! Any idea what part of the Valley you'll be staying in? I'll be glad to recommend some places for you. What kind of food would you be interested in, price range etc? There's been plenty of discussion on here about places in Phoenix. Use the search function and you'll pull up all kinds of Info. Just type in Phoenix. There are 300 threads where Phoenix is mentioned in them.

I'm staying on Osborn, north downtown.  I'll be taking customers out one night where price won't be a concern, but the rest of the meals I'd like to save my company money.  Anything around $20 for dinner, $8-$15 for lunch, but obviously cheaper is great as long as it's good.  In fact, I love to find those hole-in-the walls that are great values!  I've seen the recs on the Phoenix boards, kind of daunting to go thru.  Any help would be appreciated.  All types of cuisines okay.
                Thanks.

Both still exist but D&D has gone downhill. G. "W". Bush eats at the Tee Pee when in town. It's Still good.

Here's a place for a Sonoran Hot Dog. It's a truck in a parking lot and they only open at 6PM until midnite. It's near 20th St and Indian School, just east of RT 51.

I don't believe YOU started it.  And it really can be bizarre how the simplest, most inoffensive thing can lead to it.  But don't let it inhibit your participation--the mods here are pretty good.

Now I'd like to tell you where to eat in Phoenix and I would if I could claim to know EVERYTHING about Phoenix, but . . . I've never been there (not that that should stop me).  Green Valley/Sahuarita on the other hand is my turf (besides San Francisco).
