South Carolina Eating Sun, 09/26/04 5:07 PM (permalink)
Just got back from a week in S.Carolina.First place we ate was the Beacon-two words-Sweet Tea!!!In Charleston we ate at
Jestine's Kitchen-wonderful food, awesome desserts, fantastic service.
Hymen's Seafood-shrimp & grits!!!
Ed's AlmostFamous Hot Dogs- they advertise in the window of Jestine's
and our server at Jestine's said they were great and they were.
Gullah Cuisine-disappointing-they were out of everything we wanted,
and I mean everything. They didn't even have dessert.
Sticky Fingers-had a coupon to eat there. Husband loved the Q but not the sides. I thought it was pretty good, the sides ordinary and the service fairly lousy.
River Street Sweets - where they always seemed to have warm pralines to munch on as you shop in the Open Market area.
Thanks to all you you who gave me suggestions on where to get good eats!
