Special interest clubs you belong to?

No politics or religion included, things like Corvette Clubs, Civil War reinactors, birding, eating, hunting, you get the idea, which ones if any, do you belong to. Me, unfortunately none. This morning at breakfast at the Cozy, there was a Triumph car club having breakfast, probably 30 of them, they were having a grand time, I know I'm missing out on something along the club line, I just can't seem to find a niche.

I belong to a BEE Social Group. It is a loosely knit, informal group of Class B campervan owners from all over the country who get together somewhere around the United States. No fees, no rules. Just someone has to organize and say come. Last spring it was Tombstone, Arizona. This fall it will be in the Pine Barrens of Texas near Marshall. Past places have been in Niobrara, NE, Pagosa Springs, CO, Kerrville, TX, Moab, UT, Lafayette, LA and Grand Marais, MN. We focus with a more eastern oriented group as well with rallies in NC, OH, NY and IL so far.

For a few years the Roadfood Glee Club held our interest and kept us focused on "The Road". While the social ties are still strong, the budget and other personal restrictions have limited our participation lately.
I am active in a couple of  hunting/gun owners websites. Our recent Texas Hog Hunt was the result of one of those activities. I am interested in a variety of firearms related hobbies and stay in touch with those in the know in that area.
I keep active in my personal genealogy pursuits. Part of that research effort has me as a member in the Ancestry.Com organization. My participation tends to be seasonal. During the winter months when we are not as apt to be 'on the road' I spend more time on-line doing the searches related to my family tree. There are a wide variety of groups that specialize in all sorts of genealogy-related activities.

I don't belong to any clubs at the present time. I did belong to a club called the silver sluggers last year which mainly consisted of walking around the stadium perimeter on tuesday morning and then having a free bagel courtesy of the (Port) St. Lucie Mets. I also think of myself as being a member of the "Roadfood" club though I am not a paid member any longer.

The Lehigh valley Miata Owner's Club. I used to be Governor. I don't get to as many events as I used to, and when I do get to one I don't recognize anyone any more. But it's still my club.

I'm not much for that kind of thing, really.

I belong to a craft beer club... about half homebrewers, half non, all lovers of finely crafted beers. We meet once a month to try new beers and have a meal.

I belong to a couple different firearms groups/clubs, Roadfood when I can get out of the house and am a Mason. I spend most of my free time doing Masonic stuff, especially since I became Master of my Lodge last month.

I currently belong to Mountain Miata's located very close to my home.  We usually have weekly runs to some place of interest or restaurant of interrest.  They meet once a month at a restaurant very close to my residence.

AIWF - American Institute of Wine and Food started by Julia Child and Robert Mondavi.  When I lived in Boston the meetings were held with Julia at her house.  Also WFA - Women's Fisheries Association since I ran a seafood and lobster retail store in South Boston.

I respectfully decline to answer the question, as I believe my answer might tend to incriminate me.

I have a '65 Rambler American four door sedan and belong to AMCRC and AMO (AMC clubs). I'm not really a brand snob, and I like non-show cars, just your basic older bread 'n butter cars. I'd love to combine older cars, camping, roadtrips and roadfood. (hey! that could be a club!) I'm not so much a muscle car, pro-street or hot rod fan. More like a grocery-getter fan. I guess I'm an anti-snob, making me a snob after all.

My youngest son and I joined The Friends of Sweetwater Creek State Park. We've hiked a lot of miles cleaning up trails as we hiked along. We also did a shore clean up by canoe. We're planning on canoeing more of the lake and cleaning up, then kayaking the flat-water sections of the creek to clean up (there are some Class III and Class IV rapids that are beyond my skills, so we'll scout the creek looking for safe places to put in).
