The Sterns' Cookbooks
In 1986 my husband and I and 8 year old son had an oportunity to spend a year in London.  At that time it was no exactly a foodie destination.  How did a Texan like me survive?  Well,I took two cook books out of my collection that I knew I couldn't survive without-first was "Square Meals" by Jane and Michael and second was "Chef Paul Prudhomme's Louisiana KItchen".  These were life savers! When I got homesick I would make Mrs Stern"s Kugel.  Thanks Jane and Michael for lots of good eats and a fun read.
