Here are a few to choose from... http://www.supersmokers.com/ http://www.bandanasbbq.com/ Smokin Al's - 1216 Hampton Avenue Phil's Bar Bq - 9205 Gravois Road I don't think you will be too disappointed in any of those. The Super Smokers is quite a ways from downtown but the others are fairly close.

C & K is a small, takeout only BBQ operating out of a former gas station. They have had a lot of good press. Their snoots & ribs combination was rated one of the 10 Best Sandwiches in America by some magazine. They also offer ears or tripe. I'm not really recomending them, but they are definitely serving road food. All of their offerings (snoots, chicken, ribs, etc) are served in a to go box with two slices of bread and a serving of potato salad. By the time you eat it, the sauce, bread and salad are all mixed. The snoots were crispy. I don't regret trying them, but I wouldn't get them again. Actually the BBQ in general was disappointing. I tried their chicken, which was about like the rotisserie BBQ chickens some supermarkets sell. But I think BBQ goes better with fries. The potato salad wasn't bad, but it didn't add anything. As far as Bandanas, I think it is OK if you are staying at one of the many nearby motels, but I wouldn't make a point fo going there. Keith
