I have enjoyed the 'Stuffed Oysters' at G & M Also. They us the crab-cake stuffing to cover each Oyster, then broil. Great eating.

I think it'd be neat (well messy really) if we did some hammerin' this year. The Nats are home Aug 4, 18 and Sept 1. I know that is an important detail for WJ and Steve Koe. Let's toss some dates around here, before I start a separate thread for Crabstock 07.

This writer is having too much fun with this story... "in short order, both men were in the parking lot."

Don't forget Signman, we're going to G & M on July 3 after we land at BWI about 7:30. Are you in?

BB, the link doesn't, at least not for me. Signman, I put up a couple dates on the 1st page but no one responded. I'm open except mid August so the 18th is out for me. MikeS.

I don't know that I've ever heard a crab pickin called hammerin before. A crab pickin would be good by me, never been to one. MikeS.

Oneiron, I'm in, unless I will be attending a wedding in Dallas previous weekend (haven't rec'd invite yet). Dale, Wednesday August 1 is good for me, doubt it is for anyone else.

Well let's float a trial balloon for August 4th. Who's interested in trying their hand at steamed crabs?

I ate there and found their crabcakes to be rather bland.

quote:Originally posted by MikeS. I've carred a pocket knife for the majority of my life. I still do, even working in a class 5 federal facility and up until 9/11 I carried it on airplanes too. It's about a 3.5" blade that I keep wicked sharp. It's a very useful tool. A few times it's come in very handy at a restaurant. MikeS. Two words. Spyderco Civilian. Not a great utility knife but if some dirtbag is trying to serve you 'stabcakes' it's a great blade to have. Thanks, Kevin
