Staff Paid During Redesign

I recently learned that Cameron Mitchell, who owns a number of Columbus-based restaurants, paid his staff during the month that his Ocean Club seafood place in Columbus was shut down for a redesign and remodel. Kitchen staff drew their regular salaries and front of the house staff drew their average weekly pay -- salary and tips.

Sounds like one hell of an employer to me. My guess is that this employer will be paid back many times over by retaining valuable staff that is highly motivated to give back.

Mitchell is a CIA grad, and a member of the BOD of the CIA. He owns Cameron Mitchell Restaurants.

A couple of his stores have opened in the NE suburbs of Louisville. I haven't tried one yet, but the writeups in the local media are ok!
Apparently he cares about his workers.
