Took my two boys to Stash's in Highland Park last night, and we came away convinced these dogs are right up there with the finest Chicago has to offer. Each had a nice snap, a wonderful flavor and was served on a perfect poppy-seed bun. The fries were outstanding. Highly recommended.

Dan, I've been eating at Stash's since the day he opened the doors of his little shack, prior to the strip mall. Stash, a native of Skokie, sold the business to Bobby Dubin. Bobby and I are the same age and grew up within blocks of each other on the west side. Our paths never crossed until we both entered the hot dog business. He has a stand, I have a cart. He serves a fabulous natural skin Vienna Beef product, with my favorite being the char cheddar Polish(well done) with grilled onions and cheddar fries. Whenever I'm in Highland Park, I always pay Bobby a visit.
