Mr Mayor,

I was at the Doe's place in Paducah 2 years ago, and it was FANTASTIC !

My steak was a perfect med- rare, tender and juicy with a great steak flavor.

The tamales and all the sides were top notch also.

Schedule in some time to wander around the waterfront and historic district, it's really neat.

An old river town area done right.

We have visited Doe's in Paducah a couple of times...and had TTM with us the first time we stopped there. You are 100% correct both in the quality of the food and service, and the interesting community that surround the "On the Square" location for this branch of a great family operation. Paducah is not a Franchise store, it is owned and operated by the original 'Doe's Family".

Bump.  Chapter 3 of Steak Paradise has been on the air a couple of times. Another fine bunch of steak places represented, including St Elmo's in Indianapolis

The Hilltop Steakhouse in Saugus has closed. Patrons flocked to the place at the end. An employee said that they'd still be going strong if those people had been coming steadily. All sorts of things came up missing (forks, knives, spoons, napkins, plates etc.). No one has stolen the giant cactus and bulls (yet).

I don't recall seeing any mention of Morton's. I like steak as much as anybody but some of these places are pure highway robbery. Like Texas Land and Cattle Co.
