http://www.steakout.com/ Occasionally in my business travels, I run across one of these. Being on the government payroll and without a carte-blanc expense account, I utilize same at times. My usual order is the 13oz. serving of Sirloin tips; cooked rare, with a stuffed baker, a respectable but small salad, and some rolls. I also get the sauteed mushrooms when available. My meal has always been quite good. The meat has always been cooked to order with only a minimum of gristle/fat. Any similar experiences? Also, it amazes me to this day how this place didn't make it in Atlanta, GA, as the one or two locations they had in the metro area were closed several years ago.

Hello All, I first encountered Steak Out in the 1990's when I lived in Tuscaloosa, Al.. The food was excellent. It was good to see that the one in Tuscaloosa still survives. Take Care, Fieldthistle

I wonder why they don't post their prices on the web site? It is apparent that the majority of their business is conducted over the internet. Chow Jim

Chow Jim The prices ARE posted on the site IF you look up a restaurant location. The majority of their business is conducted over the phone when you place your order for delivery.

Wow! drive-thru steak. "Buttery spread" (I prefer spred) and not a green vegetable on the menu beyond salad (at least at the location I checked). I am impressed. If there were a drive-thru martini bar next door, I'd be all over it.

We have quite a few Steakouts in Huntsville, AL. They are quite popular here. People from my work building which has 3 shifts and assembly lines orders from Steakout a lot. I order them at home about once a month. They have a great steak sandwhich (a little pricy) but comes with let., tomatoes and onions (on the side), chips and a drink. My son loves their steak tips.

There was a Steak Out in Greensboro, NC when I lived there. I think we ordered from there a couple of times. It was good. We did it more than once, so that means we liked it. It's not Mortons or Ruth Chris, but it was pretty darn good and certainly better than any of the chinese delivery in Greensboro.

When my folks were alive they ordered from Steak-Out in Springfield Missouri all the time. Steak was always tender and good. I couldnt figure out how they could get a steak to you and it be so good and always tender.

There used to be Steak Outs in Lexington, KY, and I liked their Sirloin tips and the Sirloin tip chef salad. I think the nearest one here in KY is in Paducah and while I liked their food that's too far for me to drive for it. I'm surprised the ones in Lexington didn't survive. Andrea

When I worked for WTVF in Nashville, Steak Out was a favrite indulgence. I miss the chocolate cake, the burgers and most of all the sweet tea.
