Steam Table issue

Hi friends,
my recent acquisition of a used food truck is very exciting to my business partner and I.  It does need work, however. My question is:
Is this Suprametal steam table worth salvaging? ( see pics on flickr.com/photos/ ).  As of now, we plan to use a wire wheel on the rust.

Also, note the gas manifolds underneath the table are missing.  Does anyone know where I might get replacement parts for it?
Many thanks!

I guess I'll take the lack of feedback as "No, it's not salvageable".

I couldn't ever get the above link to open.   But if the sheet metal is rusted, then it wouldn't be long before the water pan will be leaking.

Ditch the table   ... or have a metal fab shop cut out & replace the rusted sections.    ... I think it will be difficult to pass HR inspection otherwise.

Suggest starting to search used restaurant equipment web sites. It looks like it's shot.

Are you using a sizeable generator?

I got electric food warmers at restraunt depot for 99$  they run @ 1500watts max.  ! or 2 on a decent sized generator would probably suffice.

if you are determined to use propane you could save some cash and build one from a low pressure turkey fryer burner.  I have one on my food cart that works perfectly.  I barely turn the thing on to keep the water hot.  I only use one burner for one full size steam table pan and use dividers to hold 6 pans in it.

I used black iron pipe from the local ACE and fitted it to a replacement BBQ propane line.  I actually have two burners, one for the steam table, one for my griddle, and a water heater that is supplied from a single 20lb tank.  You could definitely do something similar on your truck.
