Steamed Cheeseburger Recipe

Yesterday's Boston Globe had a swell story about us and a day we spent with reporter Joe Yonan eating steamed cheeseburgers. In addition to the story, which isHERE, Joe posted THIS RECIPE on the Globe blog. (The cockamamie links you see on the home page work fine if you click on the topic and go to the post that way. Sorry 'bout that.)

Well I read both articles and i do remember that back in the 50s and 60s we had a place called Joe and Nemo's that offered steamead burgures 2 for $.25 damn decient also. They were around a lot earlier than when I started to frequent their establishments. I was also led to belive that they were somewhat directly related to the original Mac Donalds. I' ll try to look that up. Chow Jim

I enjoyed the reads. Click "Printer Friendly" to avoid the sign up nag screen. I'm driving Westport to Northampton today (through Middletown and Meriden) I hope it's lunchtime.

I really enjoyed that, thanks! Steamed burgers are something I had never seen until I watched a program on Food Network. I will be sure to make an effort to experience first hand the next time I travel to the Colonies.
