Steaming in California!
Thu, 11/4/10 2:44 PM

I just don't understand our weather anymore. November used to be my favorite month. Not hot, not cold... just right and refreshing. It's been in the 90's here this week and even the beach is in the upper 80's. My condo was not built for hot weather! Last week it rained and was cold and it's supposed to happen again this weekend. Is the weather behaving so strangely where you live?

Yes indeed - the hottest summer on record. We went 80 days without rain. It finally cooled off this week.

Nope, we're right on track. Cold, rainy, and supposed to get a mixture of snow tomorrow. Summer was a less hot and humid than usual other than a few select days...I think we didn't even have five days over 90F this year.

Record heat here all summer, though the humidity wasn't as bad as usual. I can remember more than a few New Years days playing 2 man sand Volley Ball, in bathing suits in Playa del Rey, in the 70's, laughing at the weather reports from the frozen rest of the Country. Those were the days my friend, I thought they'ed never end, la, la,la, la, la

It's standard Ohio weather, good from mid September through March -- gray. But, we do have some light snow forecast for tomorrow, so that's a real plus for opening day of pheasant season.

I could use a sprinkling of snow, but I hear that Hell has to freeze over first. I drove the near 20 miles to our closest Walmart to pick up some treats for the dogs and it wasn't airconditioned. I nearly died!

It's a fact. I have fat dogs. I tried giving Molly a carrot and she looked at me with her big brown eyes and I knew she was thinking...... are you nuts? Besides, someone has to keep the treat people in business.

We got a couple of bones and some Pig's ears from one of the Amish Meat shopes we visited last week. They are VERY strongly seasoned with the smokey brine. The dogs love to chew them up over several days...but the smell is pretty strong on these (much more than the Pet's Mart ears)...so we try to keep them out on the deck. After a record hot and dry summer we are finally looking a bit more normal these days, weather wise. The front that Michael mentioned will drop a few rain showers then turn colder and we may see a flurry in the morning...but it will melt on contact. AL

We've got November here, but I'm used to it being after September and October...this year we had August held over for two months.

We're finally getting some relief tonight down here. It's supposed to drop to 67 tonight and down into the 50's by the weekend. I don't think we've ever waited this long for relief from the heat and humidity that I can remember.

I was just outside. It's 2:15am, 34F, and the rain drops are looking awfully darn thick and white. I'll gladly pass along some of that in exchange for 10 degrees from each of you who are hot!!!

I'm pretty close to CTF, hot and dry summer here. It was 45 when I headed into work tonight at 2200. About right for November.

It's cooled down, thank goodness! I really dislike the heat. Good morning to my favorite Roadfood friends!

In central FL it's just the opposite...over night lows in the low 40's, which for here is considered cold.

My youngest son and his girlfriend are heading to Lambeau Field (Green Bay) to tailgate then attend tonights Packers- Cowboys game. He won the tickets on Facebook somehow... I'll be looking for him in the crowd !(on TV)
