Sticky Fingers

It is admittedly a small and local chain but we were just in there on Saturday for lunch. For the thing we always get, which is an order of the smoked chicken wings with side salads. Oh lordie those are good wings. I don't know whether they're smoked and then fried or thrown on the grill or fried briefly and then smoked, and I don't care. They are so good. SF also has a selection of sauces at every table and some of them are quite good; I love the Carolina Sweet even though it's blasphemy for me to use it. Also the service in these places is usually excellent. Plus I love them because they bought one of the portraits from 'The Colbert Report.' I know we've talked about them in other threads but I thought they deserved their own. Ever visited one?

None around here, but did find their mustardy-looking sauce in the grocery store, and really like it on chicken. Got a bit of spice to it, and a nice mustard flavor, so I keep on hand now and use for chicken tenders, or grilling. Will be looking them up if i'm ever in area that has one -

Nancy, I love smoked wings with dipping sauce on the side. Sounds like my kind of place.

I'm sad now. The last one in town closed down.

I hate it when a favorite local restaurant closes!

Don't they have one in Charleston, too? A couple of oyung guys started it? I seem to recall reading a story about them several years ago. You know what they do here...They fry them and then they put them on a grill (Houligan's). At the Brickyard Lounge, I watched them fry them and then put them on the char broiler. It would be interesting to know how they do them at your place. Maybe someone knows?

We ate at the Sticky Fingers in Charleston, SC in the summer of 2002. Not bad.
