Store takes a huge hit!

My wife went to our local Fulmer grocery store today. What a shock. All the meat coolers were bare! All they had was staples, frozen foods and produce. The store had a major power outage over the weekend. The health dept was in today and reuqired them to get a special truck and dispose of all the perishable items. When asked she was informed that they had planned on closing out on jly 3rd. Now they are going to just clear the shelves and close. The have had numerous runins with the HD. I had calle them myself over major violations. They would store raw chicken in leaky [ackages with lunch meat. The had King Crab in the same cooler with steak for a promo. The problem was the raw steaks on topeof the cold crab!

I once lived near a supermarket that was delaying modernizing its store as long as possible. Sections of refrigerators and freezers kept breaking down all the time. I wouldn't buy in there anymore since you never knew if you were buying re-frozen foods. But if your store was engaging in food safety violations all the time, they had more problems than lack of a generator.
